They dated for a couple years, but were young and went their separate ways. For 15 years they lived their lives in completely different parts of the United States. Until one night in March of 2020, they reconnected randomly over snapchat. They spent all of Friday night on the phone catching up and by Saturday morning Shannon was on a plane going to visit Joe for only 15 hours. They then dated long distance for 2 years until Joe proposed to spend forever together. They knew a destination wedding in Tulum was going to be the perfect fit for them, all their friends and family that were going to be traveling from all over to be there to celebrate their union.
