Isla Mujeres Wedding Proposal. I was recently contacted by a couple who came to Isla Mujeres from the United States. They wanted a sunset photo session in their AirBnB apartment beach front at the sunset. But on the other hand, Jamey, the boyfriend, wrote to tell me that he wanted to propose to her in the middle of the photo session. Stephanie & Jamey have been together for a little over a year. They are from Oklahoma, but love to travel. They came to Isla Mujeres for the beaches, good food, and to experience the culture.
