Sandos Playacar Wedding in Playa del Carmen. Cassandra and Aaron traveled from Calgary, Canada to celebrate their destination wedding at the beautiful Sandos Playacar, surrounded by their closest family, friends, and colleagues. With loved ones flying in to the Riviera Maya for the occasion, the entire celebration felt deeply meaningful from the very beginning.
Sandos Playacar Wedding in Playa del Carmen. Their ceremony took place in the garden, where emotions ran high as Cassandra and Aaron exchanged vows. It was one of those moments where you could truly feel how much the people around them cared—there were smiles, laughter, and definitely a few happy tears during the ceremony and heartfelt speeches that followed.
Cassandra, who loves hiking and climbing, shares with Aaron a deep appreciation for adventure and life’s meaningful moments. Aaron is a successful professional admired by many of his friends and colleagues, and it was clear throughout the day how respected and loved he is by those closest to him.
Garden Ceremony at Sandos Playacar
The wedding ceremony took place in the lush garden area of the resort, creating an intimate atmosphere surrounded by tropical greenery. As Cassandra walked down the aisle, the excitement and emotion from both families was impossible to miss.
Moments like these are what make destination weddings so special. Guests had traveled all the way from Canada to witness Cassandra and Aaron begin this new chapter together, and you could feel the joy shared among everyone present.
Sunset Beach Portraits
After the ceremony and celebrations with their guests, we took a short walk to the beach for sunset portraits. The soft Riviera Maya light created the perfect setting for their first portraits as newlyweds.
With the Caribbean breeze and golden sunset light along the shoreline of Playacar, the atmosphere was relaxed and romantic—allowing Cassandra and Aaron to enjoy a quiet moment together after an emotional and unforgettable ceremony.
Cocktail Hour & Reception Celebration
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour before moving to the terrace near the resort lobby for the reception. As the evening continued, the energy of the celebration truly came alive.
The speeches were heartfelt and emotional, reflecting the deep admiration and love that friends and family have for Cassandra and Aaron. Soon after, the reception turned into an incredibly fun celebration filled with laughter, dancing, and unforgettable moments.
