Miriam and Imari hired me as their wedding photographer for two days in the beautiful island of Isla Mujeres. They got ready and the reception at Guru Beach Club – Lotus Boutique Hotel and Wellness Center in front of the most beautiful beaches of Isla Mujeres. Miriam and Imari share a passion for travel. A few places that are seared in their memories are Paris, Cancun, Havana, Seoul, and New Orleans. The magic of these cities: the old and new world, the vibrant Caribbean influence and culture, the musical spaces, and the amazing food and libations all come together in Isla Mujeres, which was the backdrop for their wedding and their favorite destination of them all. In the summer of 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, when travel came to a screeching halt, Imari brought their families together and proposed to Miriam, who said yes to a lifetime of adventure and globetrotting together.
