Cassandra and Aaron traveled from Calgary, Canada to celebrate their destination wedding at the beautiful Sandos Playacar, surrounded by their closest family, friends, and colleagues. With loved ones flying in to the Riviera Maya for the occasion, the entire celebration felt deeply meaningful from the very beginning.

Sandos Playacar Wedding in Playa del Carmen. Their ceremony took place in the garden, where emotions ran high as Cassandra and Aaron exchanged vows. It was one of those moments where you could truly feel how much the people around them cared—there were smiles, laughter, and definitely a few happy tears during the ceremony and heartfelt speeches that followed.

Cassandra, who loves hiking and climbing, shares with Aaron a deep appreciation for adventure and life’s meaningful moments. Aaron is a successful professional admired by many of his friends and colleagues, and it was clear throughout the day how respected and loved he is by those closest to him.

Sandos Playacar Garden Wedding Photos | Kyra & Corbin Kyra and Corbin, a beautiful couple from Detroit, Michigan, chose to celebrate their destination wedding at the stunning garden venue of Sandos Playacar in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Surrounded by close family and their best friends, their special day was full of heartfelt moments, sunshine, and joyful energy.

One of the most touching parts of the ceremony? It was officiated by Corbin’s father, making it deeply personal and emotional. From start to finish, you could feel the love flowing through every moment — and it all took place in the tropical, serene garden area just steps away from the Caribbean Sea.

💚 A Magical Ceremony in the Garden

The garden at Sandos Playacar is one of Playa del Carmen’s hidden gems for weddings. Lush greenery, palm trees, soft lighting, and just the right amount of shade — perfect for natural, candid photos and classic portraits. The setting added a romantic and laid-back vibe to their ceremony.

After the ceremony, the celebration kicked off with a sunset cocktail hour followed by an unforgettable reception full of dancing, laughter, and love.

The speeches were heartfelt, the dinner delicious, and the vibes unmatched. Kyra and Corbin’s first dance brought everyone to tears — but once the music turned up, so did the energy! The dance floor stayed packed all night. There were tequila shots, spontaneous group dances, hugs, and even a few epic lifts (yes, Corbin was literally thrown in the air by his groomsmen!).

Six years ago, Sarah and Graeme met through work, but it was the weekly baseball games that really sparked things. Graeme was on the field swinging bats; Sarah was in the stands with a drink in hand, keeping score and casually stealing hearts.

From teammates to soulmates, their journey took them from work chats to house keys, building a home together and sharing countless adventures.

Leah and Jaimie’s threads weave deep into their past having met back in Grade 7. There was always a special spark between them and they built a solid friendship through high school, both sharing a love of competitive volleyball. Afterwards, academic and travel aspirations led them on different paths. Many years passed and their friendship resurfaced, bearing witness then to each other’s adult lives, now as parents to 3 beautiful daughters. A long distance romance blossomed — a journey both short and long, near and far, smooth and rough. Ultimately the universe designed a way back for Leah and Jaimie to join their lives. The incredible depth of their emotional connection has had a meaningful impact on their blended family. The eldest, Haven, spoke at their wedding and shared these words. The bride: “I was told that true love was something for fairytales, and that it was impossible to care for someone so dearly that your soul intertwined with theirs. Despite this, I held out hope, choosing to believe that love was more than just a concept. I finally knew I was right when my Dad told me the story of him and Leah, and I saw the way his eyes lit up. When I finally saw them together I noticed the way they looked at each other, as though every time their eyes met they saw the other as if they were 14 again. This is what showed me just how bright, real and pure love can be. I watch how my Dad smiles every time Leah does. How she seems to relax every time he’s in the room. They fill up the space around them so easily, not wasting a second, as if every moment they spend together is a moment making up for the time they lost as kids.
